Buy in bulk
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 No commentsIn the old days, the Big Mouth was a very formidable weapon in the war against authority. Excessively powerful and mass produced, designed to be used in any environment.
The Big Mouth has become rare in these parts, so it was refreshing to see it offered in a standard issue format, and bunker stackable boxes for long sieges.
Time to head into the woods with a boombox, cassette tapes, and a pocket full of fireworks.

A nod to the past captains of the ship

As I put more distance on this old frame of mine, it’s easy to forget or play down the impact of the old school. For instance, if I was given the choice of seeing Farflung or White Hills playing live while I was completely wrapped in duct tape and lit on fire, or seeing the remaining members of the Grateful Dead play a springtime show in an old-growth glade, I’d totally pick Farflung or White Hills. But, there was a time when the GD were at the helm of the ship, and I gotta say they did a damn good job steering us through the nebula and out through the crystal edges of open space. The mix below (from Aurthurmag) contains some pretty freakin’ awesome tracks. I’ll be saying thanks the next time I see an afterimage tracer that’s going in it’s own direction.
